Coppens is an interaction designer. He combines technology with image creation.
In his work, he tries to invoilve the user as much as possible in reating
ther design. During his masters at the HKU (Utrecht
School of Arts) he did research on the participation of the user in designing
processes. Rolf will not rest before everybody has the opportunity to be
a designer.
Hew has worked for - amongst others - Waag Society, and as a freelancer. Rolf is part of the Grrr Medialab, a design bureau for interactive media. Grrr searches for new forms of interaction and applies them in the creation of their work. Projects are made in a cultural or commercial context. Art, culture and education are key words.
Next to that, Rolf is a designer at the Sandberg Institute, where he is looking for elaboration on his work and cooperates in projects that explore the role of image in society.
