Jansen is director of Westergasfabriek
LTD. Liesbeth Jansen initiated and coordinated since 1992 the lease and programming
of the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam. At first on a temporary basis as a public
project, since march 2000 as a director of a private company. She studied
Theater Sciences at the University of Amsterdam, and worked for cultural institutions
among which Mickery Theatre, World Wide Video Festival and the Parade.
Combining the cultural programming within a commercial setting has been the greatest challenge of developing the Westergasfabriek.
